Virginia Cline

City Road Chapel family and friends,
we write today to share the passing of our long-time member and friend
Virginia Reeves Cline
from this life to life eternal.

Virginia joined City Road Chapel UMC in 1938 and was proud of the fact that she was one of our oldest members.

Virginia Reeves Cline was 97 years old at the time of her passing on Thursday, June 22, 2023. Born June 24, 1925, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late John Douglas Reeves and Zella Mae Jacobs Reeves.

She was a member of Isaac Litton High School’s 1943 graduating class. Virginia was a longtime beautician in the Nashville area, retiring at the age of 85. Her family will remember her as a fiercely independent woman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years O.J. Cline; son John Daniel Cline; brother John Douglas Reeves II.

She is survived by her daughters Patricia (Paul) Knowles and Melissa (Kenneth, Sr.) Steely; grandchildren Tony, Tracy, Lisa, Lee and Brian; great grandchildren Taylor, Emily, Chelsea, Ronnie, Tricia, Brenna, Macy, Spencer, and Austin; great great grandchildren Khloe, Kallie, Sadie, Braedon, Sawyer, Noah, and Robyn.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27 at Spring Hill Funeral Home from 1 PM until 3 PM. A graveside service will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery and will be officiated by Reverend Jay Voorhees.

Please keep Virginia’s family in your prayers.
