The Quiet Space Day Room is looking for volunteers to come and sit a spell as we offer hospitality to those in need in our community.
The Quiet Space is a place where people living on the streets can get out of the heat, find a cup of cold water, charge their phones, and generally rest for a bit in a safe space. Open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., the Quiet Space is a simple means of sharing God’s love to our neighbors in need.
Sheryl and Eddie McIlvaine have been coordinating this ministry, but are needing help as Eddie faces surgery. The work really isn’t hard — it’s just being present for when someone drops by.
